“I was very sceptical about wearing hearing aids, but no one even notices my Conversa.NT™ hearing aids,” explains Nadine Bowes.

As proof, Nadine wore her Conversa.NT half shell hearing instruments for approximately two weeks before her husband noticed them.

“I did it as a kind of experiment to see just how noticeable they were to others. I discovered very quickly that they were making a huge difference in my ability to hear and no one even noticed them,” she explains.

Nadine wears her Conversa.NT hearing instruments from “7 a.m. to 9 p.m. at night”. As a busy receptionist, she depends on her ability to her others in multiple environments including the telephone, in the office one-on-one, and in groups. Since wearing her new Conversa.NT hearing aids, her co-workers joke that they have to be careful now because “she hears everything”.

Nadine is pleased that she can hear conversations better even when there is background noise.

She can hear the phone ringing from a greater distance, and sometimes over the sound of the photocopier when she is away from her desk. She also notices that she can understand conversations in groups more easily.  

“Being able to hear people is great! Even at the arena when sounds are coming at me from all different directions, I could focus on my one-to-one conversation and hear the person beside me. I feel far less strain than I used to when trying to listen to others.”

Nadine finds that her Conversa.NT hearing aids have also helped with her tinnitus. The hearing instruments seem to diminish the ringing so she is more comfortable.
