Janet Murphy

Janet Murphy has had a hearing loss for most of her life. She has experienced the frustration of not being able to hear her grandchildren, having to ask others to repeat themselves, and not hearing the lyrics to her favourite songs.

When Janet tried Conversa.NT™ CIC hearing instruments, she immediately felt tuned in to her surroundings.

“It is great to hear the sounds of life around me like the crunch of my feet on the snow. I can now hear things that I haven’t heard in years. Even the little things make a difference like hearing the click of the light switch when I turn it on, cars in the driveway and children at the door.”

Janet notices she can hear cashiers and clerks, so shopping is more enjoyable. She now enjoys conversations in the car, which she used to find challenging. Since she is able to hear speech more easily, she enrolled in a painting class, something she would have avoided before wearing Conversa.NT hearing instruments.

Janet finds the Conversa.NT hearing aids comfortable to wear, explaining that sometimes she forgets that she has them in.

Most of all, she enjoys being able to hear her grandchildren, her dog, the television and music again.

“I don’t have to ask others to repeat themselves, and the TV is not so loud anymore. I enjoy being able to hear all of the music and didn’t know I was missing so much. With my music program, I can understand the lyrics, and it sounds so much fuller and better. I haven’t heard the birds singing or my dog in years. Now I hear the birds chirping and the tone of my dog’s bark which is completely different than I thought it would be.”
