Jim Washburn

As a busy senior who enjoys attending lectures, Jim Washburn depends on his ability to hear others. About three years ago, when he turned 70 years old, he noticed that he was missing parts of conversations, and that he was having to ask others to repeat themselves a lot more. Over the next two to three years, and especially when in noisy environments, he found it more difficult to follow conversations. His wife also began to comment that the television volume seemed too loud for her.

Jim decided to have his hearing tested to confirm that he had hearing loss, and he was fit with Breeze™ AGCo Power full shell hearing aids in both of his ears.

As a new wearer of hearing instruments, Jim is impressed with how comfortable the Breeze hearing aids are. He is able to wear the hearing instruments from “8:00 a.m. to about 10:00 p.m. every day” with no problems.

“The design of these hearing aids is really something considering I can go for about 16 days without having to change the batteries. They have very efficient use of power,” he explains.

Listening and participating in conversations has become more enjoyable for Jim. He enjoys daily interactions with family and friends more, and finds that he can hear one-on-one conversations much better, even with people who are “soft-spoken”. He has also noticed that he can hear more easily when traveling in the car. His daughter says that she does have to repeat conversations to him anymore, and his wife enjoys that the television volume is lower.

Jim recently attended a lecture in a large hall, and he was able to hear all of the presenters. When in restaurants, he was impressed with the clarity and “normality of the sound”.
