Breeze™ Offers New Additions and More Choices in Trimmer Digital
Unitron Hearing, a manufacturer of easy-to-use digital hearing solutions, announced today new additions and more choices to their Breeze™ trimmer digital line, which combines the benefits of digital signal processing with the ease of conventional, trimmer-controlled fittings.
Since June 2004, Breeze has been introduced in over fifteen countries worldwide and has been well received by markets offering affordable digital trimmer hearing instruments as an alternative to analog instruments. Breeze makes digital easy to offer and easy to fit. Hearing Healthcare Professionals can achieve a quick, accurate fit with Breeze’s simple, trimmer-based controls. As the trimmer controls are rotated, clients receive an audible signal of the adjustments allowing them to provide input on their preferences for an individualized fit. Breeze is also especially well suited for markets with limited access to computer technology for fittings. Now hearing healthcare professionals can offer a more precise fitting anywhere.
The latest additions to the Breeze line address a wide range of hearing losses, from mild to severe, and are available in three distinct processing types to better meet the listening needs and preferences of individual clients. Further enhancements include additional trimmers for greater individualization, and optional telecoil and direct audio input for all BTE styles.
Breeze WDRC is especially designed for clients with mild to moderately severe, steeply sloping hearing losses or for new hearing aid wearers. Breeze WDRC allows for restoration of normal loudness growth, permitting wearers to hear soft sounds that they may have previously missed. The Breeze WDRC Custom style offers new, multiple trimmers as well as an optional telecoil. In addition, Breeze WDRC +3 BTE is a new style with three adjustable trimmers.
Breeze AGCo is appropriate for mild to severe hearing losses and features output compression limiting for louder inputs. Breeze AGCo Custom has been enhanced to offer additional adjustable trimmers for greater customization of varying hearing losses as well as an optional telecoil. Breeze AGCo +3 BTE offers three trimmer controls and comes standard with telecoil and direct audio inputs.
The new Breeze Linear Custom features linear processing and is suitable for clients with mild to severe hearing losses or for conductive or previous linear wearers.
All Breeze styles feature quiet mode expansion which reduces gain for soft background noises while preserving gain for moderate inputs such as speech. Quiet mode expansion offers a distinct advantage over analog trimmer instruments, allowing your clients to enjoy more natural, clean sound. In addition, Breeze’s power management system uses power efficiently to ensure longer battery life, and features a convenient low battery warning.
The newly expanded Breeze trimmer digital line is available worldwide with the exception of the USA and Canada, which will launch in February 2005. Breeze is available in a full range of styles from CIC (Completely-in-the-Canal) to BTE (Behind-the-Ear).
